The theme comes from Matthew 5:16--"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
As stake camp leaders, it is our hope and prayer that the Young Women in the Lafayette Stake understand how wonderful they are! We want camp this year to be an unforgettable experience, and our goal is that each young woman:
- Comes to love herself more by understanding her divine worth and talents
- Helps others come to know Christ better by knowing her and seeing her example and service
- Makes lasting friendships, and has FUN!
Camp will be held Monday, June 6--Friday, June 10. Each day we will focus on a different way we can shine:
Monday: I Shine! (Welcome to camp, introduce theme)
Tuesday: I Shine! In Charity!
Wednesday: I Shine! In Faith!
Thursday: I Shine! In Spirit!
Friday: I Shine! I know it! I'll show it!
It is our hope that leaders and YCLs can incorporate these topics into their daily lessons, activities, devotionals, etc.
