Fourth Year Adventure

 
Hello Fourth Year Parents and Campers,
During attendance at Young Women Camp, our campers get to look forward to an adventure during their fourth year certification. This year, our fourth years will get to camp in tents the entire duration of Young Women camp.  This will not be a wilderness camping experience, in fact they will be a mere 50 yards from hot showers and running toilets.  However, fourth years will be submerged in campfire bonding, late-night tent giggling, and have their own exciting camp specialist that will make this year of camp memorable.  Tents will be provided by the camp, but if you are interested in bringing your own, please feel free to do so.  Any bedding you would like, including foam pads or air mattresses must be brought by the camper.  All that is provided by the camp is a tent.
Thursday morning, the fourth years will leave for their adventure which includes a five mile hike and then an adventurous 5 mile river run.  The girls will have the option of tubes, kayaks, or sharing a canoe.  Please go directly to the river run website to learn more about the company we are using and what the trip will entail. 
It is also imperative that parents sign the release form found on the website for their girls to participate. Here is a link to the form.  Please bring this form signed with you to camp.  It will be collected by your Camp Specialist at camp.  If this form is not signed, the camper can not participate with the rest of the fourth years.  Any Youth Camp Leaders who are assigned to the fourth years will also need the form signed by their parents. .
